Natural Blemish Treatment :: Treat Acne with Clean & Green Ingredients

It can be a constant struggle to try to find an effective natural blemish treatment. Especially considering everyone’s skin responds differently. When our naturally pristine skin is visited by some most unwanted spots, what do you do? Of course the first priority is to make them disappear. As fast as possible, overnight, actually – yesterday sounds more like it.

That being said, how important is it to you that a blemish treatment is also natural, or even made with organic ingredients?

Natural Blemish Treatment :: Yes, here comes the ‘green’ part.

First off, don’t worry – being made with only ‘clean and green’ ingredients, that in no way means a natural blemish treatment can’t be efficient.

Blemishes do not need to be fought with the most aggressive and harsh synthetic ingredients.

On the contrary.

Skin lesions can be treated with botanical extracts and natural (organic) essential oils, with spectacular results. I truly and deeply believe that there is no better way. I have been treating acne and blemishes with Geranium essential oil, Tea Tree essential oil, Manuka essential oil, Myrrh essential oil and others.  Nature has tremendous healing properties in store for spots, blemishes and acne.

There is no better way than the natural one.

Discovering the power of plants for me has marked the end of spending on countless little roller-sticks from main stream skin care brands. You know, the ones with flashy designs, but mediocre performance. Natural spot treatments, made with only botanical, plant-based ingredients, have shown themselves to deliver so much more than the next widely marketed spot treatment. Especially the ones that, through persuasive commercials, convince you that you have finally laid eyes on the one remedy that will put an end to your skin troubles.

Well, guess what? Bummer. There’s usually a whole lot of noise made with advertising for those pseudo-hip pimple removers, and so much less activity when it comes to actual performance. Through experience, I have learned that plants not only do the job faster, they also are much more efficient, help to combat scars and contribute to the skin’s overall health at the same time. All natural spot treatments often more gentle, but at the same time more effective.

Efficiency is the main thing we ask from a spot remover, whether it be a synthetic or a natural blemish treatment. I’m rather passionate about all-natural and organic ingredients in my skin care, but that doesn’t change the fact that I also really, really want flawless skin. Doesn’t everybody want that?

So, how great is it to discover that all-natural blemish treatments are not just free of chemicals, but also working wonderfully well…

As this one lady says in her testimony on Amazon (which was about Enessa Rescue Blemish Control): “Only problem I have with it, is that it doesn’t prevent break outs, so I’ll focus on one spot and eliminate it, meanwhile a new patch appears overnight.”

Actually, the above comment nails it right on the head in saying that a spot treatment doesn’t prevent break outs.

Usually, when we reach for the anti-blemish solution that means something is already ‘on its way’.

Preventing break outs to happen in the first place would not be a fair thing to expect from a spot treatment. (A natural or a chemical one.) The appearance of our skin is related to hormonal balance, eating and drinking habits, general health… even proper sleep can make a difference. There are many internal factors that play a role in keeping skin nice and clear. If you are frequently bothered by spots and blemishes, it would be worthwile looking into your eating habits and ask a doctor about natural ways to balance your hormonal system.

This website does not focus on these topics specifically, but I’m happy to throw in a few pointers.

  • If you have tried every possible approach under the sun (including diets) and it doesn’t seem to make much of a difference, your acne could be related to hormones. Assuming you like to keep it as natural as possible, there are certain herbs and botanical remedies available to bring balance to the system. Radical changes in diet can make a big difference. Some foods like wheat and dairy are so much a part of our eating habits, that we never question them. Once you do, you might be surprised.

Skin Care Should Heal, Not Cause More Stress

Giving your entire skin care routine a scrutinizing look is always a good idea. Even if acne can be coming ‘from the inside’. Using main stream skin care, made with synthetic fillers and petrochemicals, and then throwing in an all natural spot treatment? Well… it will probably do some good, locally, but not do much to improve the skin’s overall health.

I’ve found that switching to all-natural and organic face care products helped my skin tremendously.

At first, it took a few months for my skin to – let’s call it – ‘detox’, but the recurring rashes never came back and my acne has quieted down to the point where an occasional pimple is easily fought back with a natural spot treatment. The purpose of a natural organic skin care routine, I believe, is to make sure that your skin can benefit from natural healing ingredients, without having to deal with the toxins in regular skin care products. These synthetic substances do not help the skin to find a natural balance, instead they often add to the problem. With all skin problems, but in this case with acne, it is important to treat your skin right. Whatever it is the skin is struggling with, going all-natural with the best organic skin care products will make u huge difference when compared to the regular stuff.

Considering everyone’s skin is and responds differently – the best bet would be to start by radically detoxing your beauty routine. Give your skin a chance to recover. For example, try some of the best organic skin care products in sample sizes here.

Now, I don’t know what your budget is, but switching an entire beauty routine at once, to  – for example – the Annmarie Gianni organic skin care line can be a bit of an expense, compared to ‘supermarket garbage’ skin care. If you’re a higher end cosmetics shopper, heck, go for it – the organic ones are probably cheaper than what you’re currently using.

As a frugal suggestion: the delicious natural facial cleanser could be the one thing to start with. It can be combined with a basic, homemade facial oil. Did you know a very natural, economical way to moisturize the face is to use a few drops of organic jojoba oil? Jojoba oil is the most similar one in consistency to our skin’s own sebum. It is very gently, penetrates quickly and will not clog pores. To treat acne and blemishes, you can add a few drops of essential oil and shake well. This adds the essential oil’s antibacterial and healing properties to the jojoba oil. (Don’t use the essential oil blend too close around the eyes. Jojoba alone should be no problem, but always try first.) Great essential oils for acne are tea tree, manuka, geranium, lemongrass and myrrh – or refer to essential oils for acne.
