Annmarie Gianni Reviews: Dead Sea Scrub

Here’s another one in the serie of Annmarie Gianni reviews. Annmarie Gianni is one of the best organic skin care brands, and this page is all about the Dead Sea Scrub, which is a facial scrub and mask with Dead Sea mud as one of the key ingredients.

Packaging

Annmarie Gianni’s organic skin care products come in dark glass, because it keeps the botanical ingredients fresh and energized. The Dead Sea Scrub is no different – the full size fills a glass pot of 50 ml or about 1.7 oz. For this review, I have tried a sample size, which comes in a cute little pot and can be found in one of Annmarie Gianni’s anti-aging skin care sample kits.  (Sidenote: It’s perfect to re-fill with homemade lipbalm later. Also makes a great travel-size vessel for deodorant cream.)

I have the scrub fresh on my face while starting this review. After double-checking the directions for use, I decided to go ahead with the mask-option and leave it on for a while instead of ‘just’ scrubbing. It looks like the little sample pot should be good for 3-4 generous applications.

Texture

Take the lid off, and you’re looking into a small pool of dark, creamy mud. Almost like Nutella in a cooler shade of brown. It looks beautifully smooth and feels the same way. Upon application of the scrub to my face, a very fine grainy texture reveals itself. This must be the finest scrub I’ve ever used, as in ‘the smallest particles’. It has a smooth, velvet-y feel first, to be followed almost immediately by the realization that there is some texture in the creaminess, and it is indeed meant to polish the skin. Oooh yes, guess what… it tingles! With the Dead Sea Scrub as a thin layer over my entire face, I’m enjoying a super fresh tingle and all over cold feeling. It lasts until the mask dries, about fifteen minutes later.

Scent

Annmarie Gianni’s Dead Sea Scrub smells fresh and herbal. The typical lavender fragrance is clearly present. Great to use before bedtime, with lavender being one of the best essential oils to make us wind down and release tension. Of course, nothing against taking a relaxing lavender-moment in the morning or mid-day. I’m loving it. Lavender fields forever!

What I like about Annmarie Gianni’s Dead Sea Scrub

  • Fantastic texture. So creamy and smooth, with the minuscule particles leaving a fresh, exfoliated skin.
  • The tingling cold feeling is a delightful pep-up for the face.
  • Love the ‘scrubbing’ feeling, when massaging the wet skin with my fingertips. This is the most gentle scrub ever.
  • Love how soft and clean my face feels afterwards.
  • Seems to have a minimizing effect on pores. No kidding, my pores have shrunk.

What I like less about Annmarie Gianni’s Dead Sea Scrub

Nothing to declare here. The Dead Sea Scrub is a beautiful product on all fronts – a pleasure to use, completely natural, efficient and with a luxurious feel to it.

Final thoughts & other Organic Face Care Reviews

Delicacy and efficacy go hand in hand in this all-natural facial scrub. Or mask, because it’s both. Annmarie Gianni also has another product, the Purifying Mud Mask, which apparently comes as a powder which needs to be mixed with water, above the sink. I haven’t tried that one, but if you prefer something straight out of the jar, why not go for this Dead Sea Scrub and use it as a mask, before scrubbing away? It worked for me!

Pricetag: US $ 39.95 for 50 ml / approx. 1.7 oz
