Madara Anti Aging Eye Cream {Time Miracle} Review

Here’s a review of Madara’s anti aging eye cream from their “Time Miracle” product line.

Packaging

The airless pump dispenser keeps the organic eye cream hermetically sealed off from both germs and light. A great way to keep the organic botanicals in the “time miracle” anti-aging eye cream fresh and clean! We could do without the cardboard box around the bottle, I suppose… This extra packaging always ends up in the trash – usually on the same day you buy the product. I’m in love with the design of the entire Madara organic skin care range though, the white and green looks so lovely and elegant!

Texture

Madara’s “time miracle” eye cream’s consistency is just perfect, not too runny and not too stiff. The ideal amount of creaminess. It spreads on very nicely. Yes, I know you really should use a tapping movement when applying cream to the eye-area, but somehow that feels so weird, I’ve never been able to get the hang of it. So I just kind of spread-tap, or spread while making sure not to pull on the skin too much.

Scent

It smells very much like the “time miracle” night cream – which is obviously Madara’s signature scent.

Fresh, herbal, surprising – a little tingle in the nose… It reminds me of spring, summer, freshly cut grass, and perhaps flowers – but not in a heavy kind of way. The scent is quite present, so I have to admit I was anticipating some irritation, especially for something applied so close to the eyes. Well… nothing of the sort happened! Even after repeated and generous application, very close to the edges of my eyelids, there was no irritation, no tearing, no itching, no watering and no red eyes. Amazing. I don’t think I have ever tolerated an eye cream so well. It is as if it isn’t there, discomfort-wise. (Of course, it does moisturize and all those good things…)

Ingredients

Ingredients, INCI: Betula alba (birch) juice, Squalane, Alcohol, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Simmondsia Chinensis, Glycerin, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Galium Verum, Glyceryl Stearate, Centaurea Cyanus, Cetearyl Alcohol, Trifolium Pratense, Humulus Lupulus, Alchemilla vulgaris (Lady’s mantle) extract, Equisetum Arvense, Hippophae Rhamnoides, Sodium PCA, Betain(-e) Dipalmitoyl Hydroxyproline, Chitin Beta-glucan, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopherol, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Xantan Gum, Zinc PCA, Copper PCA, Aroma, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891) Mica (CI 77019), Citronellol, Geraniol, Linalool.

Madara uses birch juice in the formula, and no water. This is a good thing, supposedly, because it means that the entire ‘water-based’ part of this cream isn’t actually water, but an active botanical instead.

Madara’s “time miracle” eye cream contains alcohol. Most of Madara’s skin care products do – so if you have a problem with alcohol, this is not your brand. I’m still unsure as for what to think of alcohol, because the con’s say it is an irritant and causes skin to age faster, while the pro’s say it’s totally fine, when embedded in a concoction of nutritive and moisturizing ingredients.

As mentioned earlier, my sensitive skin seems to love this organic eye cream and my very sensitive eyes tolerate the formula very well. That being said – it is for everyone to test that out for themselves, since we’re all made all different.

What I like about Madara Time Miracle Anti Aging Eye Cream

  • The way my skin feels after application: moisturized and nourished.
  • It seems to penetrate well and isn’t greasy, but smooths and hydrates the eye area.
  • The Madara fragrance is one I enjoy very much.
  • The packaging is clever and elegant.
  • How a little really goes a very long way with this product.

What I like less about Madara Time Miracle Anti Aging Eye Cream

There is basically nothing I dislike about the “time miracle” anti aging eye cream.

Final thoughts & Other Organic Eye Creams

My review is based on having used it for two weeks, so I can’t say much about this natural eye cream’s effects on wrinkles after prolonged application. It was a sample with the purchase of an other eye cream, but this could very well be my next buy, because it makes my skin look great right away. Hydrated and plump. Also – I do not believe there is any kind of miracle product on the market, which will dramatically reverse time, a.k.a. wrinkles. Food, sleep and stress/lifestyle seem to have more to do with aging and wrinkles than anything you can buy in a bottle. Oh, I’ll still try to find the best eye cream possible for my starting wrinkles (just to be sure :-D) but going to bed early, drinking enough water and happy thoughts have noticeably more effect on how I look than the stuff I slather on my face.
