Review: Madara SOS Instant Moisture+Radiance Hydra Mask

MADARA review SOS INSTANT MOISTURE+RADIANCE HYDRA MASK

Reviewing the Madara SOS Instant Moisture + Radiance Hydra Mask.

Claims to:

  • Protect from moisture loss & dehydration (immediate and longer term)
  • Plump the skin’s surface
  • Give a healthy glow
  • Provide immediate comfort
  • Reduce skin tightness
  • Prevent itching

Does the Madara SOS hydra mask live up to its promises?

I’d answer that question with a resounding yes! (Except for the itching part – unable to assess that one, since my skin wasn’t itching to begin with.)

This mask is actually a perfect cruelty-free and natural organic alternative to the Lancôme mask I used to like. In truth, it is not just a decent sub, but better.

The texture is perfect for both applying a thicker layer or a thin one. When used overnight, it does not really need any rinsing off in the morning and my skin looks and feels great. Definitely plump, hydrated and happy overall. Madara nailed it with this addition to their already very impressive line of natural organic skincare.

Key things to know about Madara SOS instant moisture + radiance hydra mask

It can be used as a regular face mask, as in: a thick layer that’s taken off once mask-time is over. (A minimum of fifteen minutes is recommended by Madara.)

As shown on the packaging, this hydrating mask can also be used as a leave-on overnight treatment, hence the 15 minutes – (up to) “infinity-symbol” on the box.

Motivated to squeeze every possible drop of goodness out of my favorite fancy skincare products, I really don’t see the point of using this SOS hydra mask for a short time slot. Unless you’re in a hurry, then – maybe. Otherwise, why not choose to leave it on over night and get the maximum benefits?

As an overnight treat(ment) you’ll probably use a bit less than in the case of a face mask. Slathering it on like a very generous amount of night cream and letting that layer sink in for a few minutes before hitting the pillow works like a charm for me.

There really isn’t much left to wash off in the morning, which hopefully means every beneficial drop of it has been soaked up by my skin (and not the bedding).

Verdict

The texture is very smooth and there really isn’t anything I dislike about Madara’s SOS hydra mask. Most importantly, my skin seems to appreciate it and looks visibly quenched. I confirm this mask can give your face a little boost and would purchase again.

One tip: Having positioned the tube upright, standing on the cap, some of the product leaked into the cap. Hard to get it out of the creases, so that bit went to waste. Did I mention I hate wasting good skincare products? 😉 Note to self: lay the tube flat next time.
